Saturday July 23rd, 2011 Busti, NY: Hot and humid
described the race night and the racing as Stateline Speedway celebrated its 55th
birthday. In a special timed event for the Super Late Models dubbed the "Race
for the Record" saw Dutch Davies take home the $1,000 top prize with veterans
Dick Barton second and Rich Gardner in a brand new car third.
Doug Eck won his third Super Late Model feature with a
thrilling high side pass of last years champ Chris Hackett.
Paul Nelson won his third Spectator feature with a
late race pass to extend his points lead.
Dan Nocero Jr. inherited the Super Sportsman lead
after Ben Burgess Jr. had mechanical problems then went on to win his third of
the season.
Justin Tatlow led just the final few feet of the Crate
Late Model feature to win his first feature at Stateline Speedway.
Alex Froman impressed the crowd with a green to
checkers run in the E-Mod feature besting a 27 car field.
The Outlaw Cadet and Super Challenger features were
rained out.
The Outlaw Cadets failed to get out of turn four for
the initial start of their feature event and the skies opened ending the racing
night.
