Model King of Hill race. Mike Moore won his second of the season in the Outlaw Cadet division. Rod Maloy was back in the winners circle after a long absence winning a very

the third time in the Lady Challengers.
Steve Keith Jr. won the first Super Challenger
feature and
Jonathan
Seekings won the second.
Twenty-three Super Late Models reported to the
speedway for their feature event with John Lobb on the pole and Doug Eck alongside. Andy Boozel and Rod Maloy were in row two and Matt Urban and Paul Briggs in row three. Last
year’s champion Dick Barton started in the eighteenth spot. Eck and Lobb ran door to door for the first two circuits before Eck was able to gain on car length on Lobb. John Volpe
brought out the yellow with three laps complete. Eck, Lobb, Urban, Boozel and Maloy were the restart leaders. Steve Halpainy slowed bringing out the second caution one lap later.
The top three remained Eck, Lobb and Urban with Maloy fourth and Chris Hackett fifth. Urban moved up to challenge Eck on the restart and battled for two laps before Eck once more
took control. Maloy was also in the fray passing Urban on lap ten then beating Eck to the line for the lead. Just one lap later Maloy had a three car length lead over Eck. Maloy
was into lap traffic on lap seventeen when Hackett mad contact with Urban in turn two bringing out caution number three. Maloy quickly moved away from second place Eck on the
restart. Scott stopped up against the fence in turn one for caution four with four laps remaining. Just one more lap was completed before Briggs slowed for caution five. With three
laps remaining Maloy, Eck, Hackett, Lobb and Hedman were the top five and Barton was sixth. Hackett passed Eck for second with two to go but Maloy could not be caught for his first
win of the season.
Dennis Lunger jumped to an early lead in the E-Mod
feature the lost the handle on lap two. Scott Gurdak was the new leader when the yellow flew for Brian Fardink. Gurdak, Justin Carlson, Chad Ramsey, Greg Johnson and Tom Hagberg
were the top five for the lap four restart. Carlson passed Gurdak just before the yellow flew for Mike Moore and Brett Van Guilder. Carlson stopped during the caution and required
a wrecker to return to the pits. Gurdak was back into the lead with Johnson second and Nathan Short third. Moore continued to have problems bring out the second yellow. Two laps
later a spin by Van Guilder brought out caution four. Gurdak, Short and Hagberg led after the restart then Van Guilder and Fardink tangled for yellow five. Cale Crocker was the
next to have trouble for caution six with eight laps complete. Gurdak, Hagberg and Troy Carr were the leaders. Hagberg tested Gurdak on lap nine then made it stick on lap ten.
Lunger came from the back for a third place finish as Hagberg made it look easy for his second win of the season.
John Swabik and Marc Luce were on the front row for
the 28 car Spectator feature. Mark Simmons spun coming out of turn two on the first lap collecting eight cars including Gary Fisher, Jamie Brown, John Mease, John Kelsey, Ryan
Seekings, Marc Luce and Matt Harvey. The next restart failed when Eric Paulus spun. The third start was successful and Swabik led with Clarence Dickerson second. The caution flag
returned for debris with three laps complete. A flat on Alex Froman’s car caused the next caution one lap later. Swabik remained the leader with Lonnie Waldron coming from
fourteenth to challenge. Swabik tagged the wall on lap seven losing several spots putting Waldron on top with Buzz Phearsdorf second and Dickerson third. Kelsey stopped in turn two
with ten complete for the fifth yellow. Waldron and Phearsdorf pulled away from the field over the final laps. Coming to the checkers Phearsdorf and Waldron make contact but
Waldron was able to hang on for the win.
Rick Thompson led the first lap on the Outlaw
Cadet feature with pole started Leonard Enos second. Glen Slaney spun collecting Kelly Frederes for the first yellow on lap three. Enos grabbed the lead on the restart as Thompson
fell to fourth. Enos spun on lap five for the second yellow losing the lead to last years champ Mike Moore. Thompson lost control on the restart collecting John Kline, Slaney,
Brian Crandall and Paul Himes in turn one. Moore, Steve Moynihan and Mike Knight were the restart leaders. Knight worked under Moynihan to take the second spot on lap seven. Moore
maintained a ten car length lead over Knight for the remainder of the event for his second win of the season.
Pete Volpe led the first circuit of the Super
Sportsman feature with Aaron Robinson second and Steve Kania third. Kania used lap seven to move under Robinson for the second spot. Robinson continued to lose spots and both
Kuschel and Boardman moved by. Kania passed Volpe to led lap ten then lost the lead to Kuschel on lap eleven. Boardman also got by Kania then passed Kuschel to led the final laps
and win his first of the season.
Julie McAvoy led the first lap of the Lady Challenger
