Saturday July 10th, 2010 Busti, NY: Mother Nature provided a perfect summer evening for the Roberts Trucking ULMS Super Late Model Special. 32 Super Late Models were on hand to try for a spot in the 28 car starting field. It took 4 heats and 2 consolation races to set the starting field with Ed Carley winning the pill draw for the top spot. Carley led the first three laps of the event but fell to Mike Knight on lap four. Knight cruised through heavy lap traffic for the win as David Scott and Dave Hess Jr. battled for the runner up spot.

Brandon Groters came from 19^th to win the topless Spectator feature his seventh win of the season.

John Boardman assumed the Super Sportsman lead after high flying Ben Burgess Jr. suffered mechanical problems while leading. It was Boardman’s third feature win of the season.

Rich Michael Jr. won the E-Mod feature leading from lap four for his third win.

Mike Moore led from the start to win his second Outlaw Cadet feature of the season.

Stephanie Devereaux won the Lady Challenger feature, Austin Karash won the first Super Challenger feature and Joshua Beckstrom won the second.

Bryan Johnson and Matt Sampson were on the front row for the Topless Spectator feature. Johnson was the early leader. A lap four spin by James Britt nearly collected point leader Brandon Groters and brought out the first caution. Brian Wilson spun on the restart for caution two. The lap six restart was led by Ken Drake and Sam Courson. Groters was third from his 19^th starting spot. Drake lost first to Groters on lap six then the fourth yellow occurred when Britt spun for the second time. Just past the half way mark Travis Darling brought out caution number five. Groters, Drake, Mike Moon, Sam Courson and Kyle Weilacher were the top five for the restart. Josh Crull was the next yellow maker with a spin into the infield with nine laps complete. Courson lost the handle on lap eleven collecting Eric Paulus and Gary Fisher. On lap 11 another multi-car incident slowed the race. Ben Asel was the next racer to have problems spinning at the exit of turn four just as head starter Mark Matthews was giving the two to go signal. Britt spun with one to go for caution ten. Groters won the one lap dash to the checkers for his seventh win of the season.

Ben Reed led the first lap of the Super Sportsman feature then crossed the line side by side with Wade Watson on lap two as the yellow flew for Jason Schumaker. Watson was the new leader for the restart and Reed fell to third giving up second to John Boardman. Boardman uses lap four to pass Watson. Then Ben Burgess joined the fray on lap five passing Watson for second. The yellow reappeared on lap six as early leader Reed had problems in the exit of turn two. The yellow immediately followed the green on the restart as Allen Haskins spun in turn one. Burgess made a lane switch to out fox Boardman on lap eight to become the new leader. At the halfway point the yellow flew for Jake Eller. Burgess pulled away from the field after the restart and with a comfortable lead on lap twelve spun in turn two and in the ensuing caution pulled into the pits. Boardman became the leader again with Joe Buccola Jr. second and Watson third. Boardman ran the remainder of the race unchallenged for his third win.

Ed Carley, Mike Knight, Bump Hedman, Dick Barton, Scott Johnson and Darrell Bossard made up the first three rows for the Roberts Trucking ULMS Super Late Model 40 lap Special. Carley led the first circuit with Mike Knight a close second. Knight led Carley down the back stretch on lap three but lost the lead at the line just before ULMS co-point leader Dennis Lunger spun in the exit of turn four for the first yellow. Carley, Knight, Barton, Hedman and David Scott were the restart leaders. Knight had the advantage on the restart and led lap four. Barton used lap six to pass Carley for second and Carley nearly spun in two on lap seven losing anther spot this time to Stateline Point leader Scott Johnson. While Johnson was pressing Barton for second David Scott grabbed fourth. The yellow reappeared with 11 laps complete after a spin by Wendell Pinckney. Ryan Scott brought out the next yellow after a back stretch spin. David Scott used the high side on the next two circuits to move into the number two spot. Pete Alspaugh spun with help from Dutch Davies as lap 14 ended for the fourth caution. Knight, David Scott, Barton, Johnson and Dave Hess Jr. were the leaders. Hess was the new charger taking third after the restart from Barton. Hess started in 17^th. Knight remained the faster car and was stretching his lead over the rest of the field. Lap traffic became a factor on lap 22. Lap cars foiled an attempt by Hess to take second from Scoot on lap 25 as Knight continued to cruise through lap traffic. With 10 laps remaining race cars filled the speedway and Knight had nearly a straight away lead over David Scott and Hess. Hess moved up and David Scott moved down and they continued their battle for the runner up spot. The final laps were a test against lap traffic as Knight cruised to the victory and David Scott bested Dave Hess for second.

Justin Carlson, Troy Carr and Randy Raynor were involved in a first lap incident in the E-Mod feature. On the restart Nathan Hill led from his pole starting spot with Rich Michael Jr. second and Mike Eschrich third. A lap four spin by John Kelsey caused the second yellow. Michael charged to the front on lap four. Steve Huling caused caution three with five laps complete. Michael, Hill, Eschrich and Ron Seeley were the restart leaders. Greg Johnson, Anthony Marotto, Steve Huling and Troy Carr brought out caution four with six laps complete. The race remained green through lap 11 when a spin by Kyle Bradigan brought the yellow for the fifth time. Michael, Hill, Seeley, Eschrich and Scott Gurdak were the leaders. Dave Shagla caused caution six with four laps remaining. Tim Rockwell was the new player among the top five relegating Gurdak to sixth. Rockwell nipped Eschrich with two to go the fourth spot and Raynor spun for caution seven. The single file restart for the final lap was won by Michael his third for 2010.

Steve Kania spun on lap two of the Outlaw Cadet feature as 2009 Point Champ Mike Moore led. Glen Slaney was second and Paul Norman Jr. third. Tyler Green was sent from the speedway during the caution. Slaney moved under Moore on the restart and after running side by side for two laps took the lead from Moore then lost it one lap later. Moore has a slim three car length lead over Slaney at the crossed flags as did Slaney over Norman. Point leader Frederes was a distant fourth with Chad Carlson fifth. A broken rear end brought Jermin Strickland’s race night to an end and brought out yellow number two with thirteen laps complete. Paul Norman did a half spin stopping on the exit of turn two for caution three on the next lap. Frederes left the speedway on the caution. Moore, Slaney, Steve Moynihan, Chad Carlson and Kania were the leaders. Rodney Thoms had problems with three lap remaining for caution four. Carlson passed Slaney with two to go then Kania did the same with one to go. Moore held on the win his second in defense of his title.
