Fans win big with prizes as Chad Ruhlman, Rich Michael, Kelly Frederes, Mike Kosinski, and Roger Hall add to win totals.
Busti, NY (July 26, 2014): Pepsi brought over $14,000 in prizes for fans and Applebee Motorsports brought sponsorship money for the Street Stocks and all had a great time at Stateline Speedway Saturday night. The Annual Fritz and Lynn Seamens Memorial for the Super Late Models and the Applebee Motorsports Street Stock Championship were the featured racing. Max Blair led e Fritz and Lynn Seamens Memorial right from the start, never slowing except for caution periods. It was Blair's second Stateline win of the season. The lion's share of the Street Stock feature purse went to Jason Covey, his second win of the season after an exciting battle with Brandon Groters and Chris Withers.

Rich Michael won the E-Mod feature after retaking the lead from Greg Johnson with only a lap and a half remaining after surrendering the lead to Johnson at a lap thirteen restart. Chad Ruhlman won the Crate Late Model feature after starting back in ninth place and only taking five laps to get through traffic to gain the lead. The Kosinski brothers, Mike and Ted, led the Sportsmen field at the end of their feature. Kelly Frederes took the lead at the start of the Limited Late Model feature and led every lap enroute to his first Stateline win of the season. For the night-capper Roger Hall won the Challenger feature after early leader Aaron Liberati suffered mechanical failure after leading the first four laps. Hall and Holden Heineman ran side by side most of the event.

Vaughn Nystrom and Mark Thompson led the twenty Street stocks to Spanky Hall's green flags for the start of the $550 to win Street Stock Championship but only 14 competitors got beyond turn one as the pole-sitter spun in front of the entire field. Guy Adams wound up being towed to the pits and points leader Bill Reeves retired to the pit as well. On the green Chris Withers took over at the front but yellow again flew as Jay Greene's mount erupted in flames with one lap completed. After a restart at lap four opening night winner Jason Covey used the outside line to get by Withers. By halfway week two winner Brandon Groters was running third and had second at fifteen complete. Groters got next to Covey several times in the next laps but could never compete the pass. At lap eighteen Wes Vollentine threw his right front wheel, again slowing the race and putting Groters next to the leader for the green. When green was again in the air Withers came back to second but Groters stayed with him until going wide in turn two then falling back. Another yellow at twenty-two complete set up a single file restart for the run to the checkers. Groters went wide again at lap 23, allowing Eric Paulus and Eric Harvey to get by him. By the checkers Groters had got back to fourth. The order at the four-checkers finish was Covey, Withers, Paulus, Groters, and Harvey.

Cale Crocker and Leonard Enos led the 27 E-Mods to the green with Crocker leading Rich Michael until lap three when Michael took over the lead. Six laps was all it took for Michael to catch the back markers then a lap later the event was slowed when Mike Smith looped his mount in turn three. Several more cautions slowed the event but Justin Carlson and Greg Johnson both got by Crocker by lap thirteen when caution again reset the field, putting Johnson next to Michael for the restart. Johnson got the lead at the drop of the green and Crocker got back by Carlson for third. Michael pulled ahead on the back straight on lap twenty-four and then saw Spanky Hall's checkers for the first time this year at Stateline. Johnson settled for second with Crocker third, Carlson fourth, and defending champion John Woodward fifth.

The Fritz and Lynn Seamens Memorial started with Max Blair and Chris Hackett up front for the twenty-five lapper for twenty-five cars to memorialize the couple who owned the track from the 1985 season until Fritz passed away in 2010. At the drop of the green Blair charged to the lead with Dutch Davis getting by Hackett for second the Bob Dorman coming to third a lap later. The race went green until lap ten when Jake Finnerty looped his mount in turn two. For the green flag it was Davies to Blair's right with Dorman and Bumpy Hedman right behind. Dorman immediately got around Davies and at halfway Mike Knight was fourth with Dave Hess coming to fifth at lap fifteen. On lap eighteen Knight came by Davies for third but Davies stayed alongside for a lap before Knight could solidify the spot. At the end of twenty-two caution flew when Jordan Eck and Brian Fardink tangled in turn three. The final three laps were all Blair with Knight coming by Dorman one lap after green. At the checkers it was Blair for his second win of the season over Knight, Dorman, Dave Hess, and Dutch Davies. In Victory Lane Blair praised the track, stating he could race in every lane of the track.

Scott Gurdak led the Crate Late Model feature from the pole with Ward Schell coming all the way from sixth to second by the time the first caution fell at lap three. Outside front row starter Zack Carley was third at that point with ninth starting Chad Ruhlman up to fourth. At the end of lap four it was three wide at the stripe with Gurdak barely ahead. One lap later Ruhlman was half a length ahead. On lap seven with the field coming out of two, Garrett Stephen, Bob Dorman, Chad Schauers, Luke Carlton, Tony Mariano, Doug Ricotta, Kyle Scott, and Wyatt Scott all piled up in a hard wreck but all drivers were uninjured. At halfway Ruhlman had a near quarter-lap lead over Gurdak and Schell with Darrell Bossard fourth and Carley fifth. Ruhlman maintained his advantage to the checkers with the top five remaining the same.

Pole sitter Ted Kosinski led three laps of the Sportsmen feature then gave way to defending champion Jim Kibbe. Kibbe, the defending class champion, led until the back straight of lap nine when mechanical failure in the left rear suspension struck, causing him to spin a complete "360". Under the ensuing caution Kibbe retired to the pit. Mike Kosinski the took the lead for the restart over his brother Ted with Dan Nocero now third. At the checkers it was Mike Kosinski, Ted Kosinski, Dan Nocero, Don McGuire, and Tim Nocero.

Kelly Frederes and Chris Ottaway started up front and led the entire way in the Limited Late Model finale with defending champion Ryan Scott third at the finish. Tyler Green wound up fourth with John Cline Jr fifth.

The final race of the night was the Challengers feature with Roger Hall and Aaron Liberati on the front row. Liberati charged into the lead at the start with Hall second. At the end of four laps Liberati lost power, coming to a halt in turn one and slowing the event. For the restart it was Hall leading the charge with Holden Heineman to his right. At halfway Hall led Heineman with Justin Boardman third. Heineman and Hall ran side by side much of the race but Hall held on for the win with Heineman second, Ken Hultin third, Travis Darling fourth, and Joe Beach fifth.
